Celebrations

Celebrations

“Celebration is an active state, an act of expressing reverence or appreciation…. celebration is a confrontation, giving attention to the transcendent meaning of action.”

The sheer carnivalesque nature of festivals leaves one beaming with the prospect of celebrating them. This joy multiplies, even more, when it is accompanied by the enthusiasm of the school students. Besides the element of having fun, their curious questions behind the genesis of the said festivals make the entire celebration dually informative and enjoyable. Taking into consideration why festivals are important within the classroom space, we celebrate festivals in the most wholesome and inclusive manner at Ganga International School. Our festivals are inclusive and make the campus environment holistic in every manner possible. From Dussehra, Diwali, Eid, and Independence Day, to Christmas, our students from Early Years to senior school, bask in the spirit of each of these festivals and form a holistic bond within the community.

Social Outreach Programme

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

We imbibe in our children the basic qualities of sharing and caring. As a part  of this ongoing commitment to enrich the lives of the individuals and the community, we support various Community Service Initiatives like health checkup camp, cleanliness drive,  and donation drive.  In addition to learning valuable skills of organising, promoting and getting involved in group projects. Our students grow up as compassionate adult contributing to enrich the lives of others.

Interhouse Activities

Ganga International School believes that every child is a reservoir of courage, energy and talent, which is recognized and nurtured through multifarious interhouse activities and competitions. These activities aim at giving right exposure and opportunity for self expression both on stage and play field. To keep pace with the changing times, the co-curricular activities are given equal importance as the academics as they aim at bringing out the best in each child. These activities not only broaden the horizon, but also give them an exposure that is par excellence .The zeal with which the students participate in these  activities and competitions   not only exhibits their spirit of competitiveness, camaraderie, group dynamics but also strengthen their confidence

Creativity & Expressions

Ganga International School strongly uphold the school motto, “Teach Each Child, Develop Whole Child.”  As we aim at the holistic development of our young students. The school rears a platform for the young saplings where they get manifold opportunities to boost up their expression and  strengthen creative process by consistently motivating them to acquire the requisite skills by actively participating in the following Performing Arts – Theatre,  Music, Dance, Art and Craft.

The enthusiastic participation of each child in these performing arts enhances their ability to imagine, to  create, to perform, and to design. For we believe that, thinking  creatively, giving shape to ideas, and expressing those ideas through different genres  is  not only indispensable to all artistic endeavours, but it also facilitates and enriches the conventional academic pursuits, stimulates problem-solving ability, and  foster originality in concepts among enthusiastic learners  in their tender years .

Overseas Participation

Students of the school participated in multifarious video conferences this year. Students were indulged in a dialogue with the foreign students, from various parts of the world. A healthy discussion on different beliefs, festivals, communities and cultures took place. This gave our students a worldwide exploration of a variety of cultures followed miles away by just sitting in a classroom.

Students Orientation

The highest form of leadership is transformational leadership. Leadership is not by rank or designation; it is by attitude and by competence. In Bhagwad Gita, Lord Krishna says, “As the leader, so the people.” According to this axiom, leaders set an example and become role models. A true leader is intelligent, dynamic, energetic, active, self motivated and ready to act and take initiative in all walks of life. We strongly believe in the mantra of building relationships because that’s the magic of understanding small things and sustaining it for a lifetime. Regular training programs are held to familiarize students with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.
