For promoting 21st century education our schools needs to work more effectively on ICT in
education. With the introduction of smart classes in our schools we need to move forward with
this idea of techno-teaching, students these days are having more access to technology in their
homes and these generations are much inclined towards that technology. This will maximise
the impact on a child’s classroom experience and education as a whole.
Five use of ICT in education can be summerized as
ICT allows students to monitor and manage their own learning, think critically and creatively,
solve simulated real-world problems, work collaboratively, engage in ethical decision-making,
and adopt a global perspective towards issues and ideas. So I am of the view that we need to
work more effectively on this by providing more first hand knowledge on technological use in
education to teaches and promoting this term techno-teaching.
