GIS have brought together fun and interesting activities that students can do these days when we find ourselves stuck at home in lockdown . These four weeks of summer vacation can be a little daunting with trying to find things to keep children entertained and engaged. GISK has put together some ways to keep the fun and talent going together. Students are being provided online hobby classes of Music, Dance, Yoga, Art & Craft, and Poem Recitation etc.
Different e-competitions were held for Art & Craft & Yoga and first three best performers of each class were awarded with e-certificate.
Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan motivated students by her message that such activities will help them to overcome the boredom and be cheerful with their families despite the present grim situation.

It was a nostalgic moment for the students of class XII of the 2019-20 batch when the students of class XI accorded them a sentimental farewell. It was a time for them to leave the familiar environment of their alma mater and take a plunge into the unknown blue to explore the vast beyond. A hawan was performed in the morning to seek the blessing of God for the forthcoming board exam for the class XII students as well as their lines ahead. After the lighting of the inaugural lamp by the Principal mam,the much awaited title ceremony was enjoyed by all with the dance performance party mood was set by the students. Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan wished good luck.

Teacher is a lifelong learner. The teaching fraternity has to keep abreast with the ever changing technology and the mindset of the students, thereby keeping this in view CBSE conducted a 2 days workshop, “Capacity Building Programme” for Social Science at Ganga International School, Kablana on 28th& 29th Dec,2019.
The honorable resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Madan Lal Sawhney and Ms. Bani Godara . They were extended a warm floral welcome by the Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan. The aim of the workshop was to give an insight into the methods and the strategies of teaching Social Science and to aware about the inter disciplinary approach in teaching Social Science.
It was really an ice breaking beginning. To involve the teacher participants, many activities were conducted. On both the days many handouts were given which were to be summarized by the teachers segregated into various groups.
The hot tea between the sessions proved to be a miracle drink in the chilly weather. The scrumptious snacks and food satisfied their taste buds.
The two day session broke on an optimistic note of making sincere efforts to implement all the nuances in the field with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was a great learning experience, as it helped the teachers to adopt various techniques to make the teaching and learning process more effective.
The workshop was concluded with a vote of thanks given by the Principal. She also presented mementos as token of appreciation and gratitude to the distinguished resource persons for all the hard work they had put in to make the workshop a success and a learning and enriching experience. Certificates were awarded to all the participants. It was a learning experience for all those who were not attuned to the system of assessment in Social Science.
The school management and other stakeholders appreciate the efforts of CBSE for taking such initiative of planning and organizing workshops & seminars for in-service teachers training and making the education a more alighting venture.

The activities which were scheduled for the month of November have been conducted with full enthusiastic spirit. To promote the Mathematical competencies that are required to face the challenges of 21st century, the first round of Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge was conducted on 22nd November followed by the Final Round on 29th November,2019.Top 3 students of Round 1 had appeared for this Computer Based Test in 2nd Round.This activity helps to focus on the extent to which students are able to apply Mathematics in their daily life and also aim at promoting joyful learning of Mathematics.
Story Telling is a way to share a remarkable variety of personal experiences, values and ways of understanding. It is a tool to shape their thoughts and feelings through the language they learn. It also provides a common thread that can unite cultures. GIS, Kablana conducted the school level Story Telling Competition in the month of November. All students enthusiastically participated and created a magic through their diverse thoughts. The best entry of each categories are registered at CBSE Story Telling Web portal.
Sports Activities help students to stay healthy and fit contributing to overall well being. Students of GIS,Kablana have always showcased a great energy in Sports. This time also GISK participated in Inter School Sports and Games Competitions. In November we participated in Sahodaya School Games Kabaddi Competition (U-19) and have shown a great zeal.
Our students also participated in Football(U-17) (Haryana School Games ,Block Level ) and bagged First Position and our team of U-19 of the same, has bagged Third Position.
In all the activities , students of GISK have demonstrated their enthusiastic spirit and collective efforts will go on in future also for such educational transformation.
26. GIS,Kablana hosted Sahodya Inter School Football competition: |

Ganga International School, Kablana organised Sahodaya Inter-school Football Tournament in a very grand manner to develop harmony and healthy environment among the schools in the playfields of GISK.
The occasion was graced by DEO Mr Madan Chopra and DSO Mr Jai Kaushik
6 school teams participated in the tournament. After the March past and ignition of torch, the chief guest addressed all the sports men and ispired them to show their talent and sportsmanship.
The winning team was awarded trophy and the certificates by the chief guests and the school Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan.
Ganga International School, Kablana bagged 2nd position in the tournament.
The day was a great experience in the life of the students and also proved to be a grand success by the efforts of students, teachers, management and the member schools of Sahodaya.

Ganga International School, Kablanaorganized the Vigilance Awareness Week as per the guidelines issued by CBSE in its campus to encourage the fight against corruption amongst the youth. Thehonourable Principal, Mrs. Usha Chauhan shared that the menace of corruption has become a huge concern for the society. Corrupt practices bring in social unrest and injustice which leads to stress and anxiety. The tender youth is also not aloof of the consequences. Therefore, it becomes the moral responsibility of the schools to shoulder the responsibility of spreading the awareness and extending the safety to the students against corruption. She appreciated the thoughtful initiative taken by CBSE in promoting the cognizance against corruption. The programme began with a special assembly in which a pledge was taken by all the students and staff to make India a Corruption free country. The school organized various competitions like Essay writing, slogan writing, Poster making and others. The students actively participated in the competitions.The programme ended with a Peace Marathon inside the school campus.

Report on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas The unique event organized by Ganga International School, Kablana on 31 oct 2019, Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary is an apt homage to the man responsible for the present united India. Celebrations started with a special assembly in which the honourable principal, Mrs. Usha Chauhan addressed the gathering with a great motivational speech about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his incredible efforts. She asserted that Sardar Patel or Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was also called the Iron Man of India. It was his will and determination, his excellent negotiation skills and various strategies that was able to unite the 565 self-governing princely states post-independence into a unified India. Mr. Pawan Kumar also enlightened the students about the biography of Sardar Patel with the medium of short skit presented by students. At the end of the assembly all the assembled students and staff members took oath to live life with harmony without discrimination or injustice. Essay writing competition was also organized on the theme ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel - A Symbol of national Unity’. During the afternoon session students formed a human chain emphasizing National Unity. The programme ended with a Peace Marathon inside the school campus.

BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) Painting Activity was conducted in GIS as an initiative to create awareness and disseminate information on energy efficiency and conservation on October 14, 2019. All the students from class IV to IX participated in the activity enthusiastically and depicted their ideas and ideologies to conserve energy. The honourable Principal Ma’am motivated them students to perform well and selected some of the best paintings of the students for the state level competition conducted by BEE.
The school always ready to help the budding artists and also let the students to enhance their interest in the art and education. Mr. Ram, an Art teacher contributed a lot in the smooth conduction of the activity. The school expressed an immense gratitude towards BEE for encouraging the future generation to conserve energy.

“ECO WARRIOR – Gandhi may not have used the vocabulary of a modern – day environmentalist, but his lifestyle and concern for the agriculturalist signaled his green concern”.
Ganga International School, Kablana celebrated the 150TH Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation (Mahatma Gandhi) from 23 September 2019 to 1 October 2019. For spreading the message of peace and honesty, students ofGanga International School, participated in different activities related to the principles of the Father of the Nation and based on the theme “Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi” to mark the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
Bhajan Singing Activity(Sarva Dharma Prarthana Sabha):
The celebration began with special assembly in which the honourable Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan addressed the students and said – “The high moral character of Mahatma Gandhi and his principles to stay fit and clean surrounding are still relevant in the present world”. After this, students of every wing participated in Bhajan singing activity with full enthusiasm and spread the message of non-violence and tolerance.
Cleanliness Drive:Swachhata hi Sewa(Discussion / Activities on Cleanliness/Plantation):
The school organised a Cleanliness Drive on 25th September 2019 to provide a wonderful opportunity for students’ participation and spread awareness on the importance of cleanliness in one’s neighbourhood. Primary Wing students are made to learn the proper way of washing their hands when they need. Whereas, students of senior wings were asked to participate in Fit India Plogging Run in which they not only run the distance of two – kilometers from school but also picked the garbage they found along the path they ran. This activity proved very helpful as it sensitized the students toward fit body and clean surroundings.
Speech, Debate and Declamation Competition(Discussion on Moral values):
On 26th September2019, an inter- house Declamation and Debate competition was organised on the topics – “Relevance of Gandhian Philosophy in 21st century”, “War” and ‘Make in India Movement”. The students gave inspirational speeches and inspired the other students with the love of non-violence, tolerance, brotherhood, cleanliness and other Gandhian Principals.
Essay Writing and Diary Writing Competition(Activity on water conservation//New education):
An inter class Essay Writing Competition was conducted on 27th September 2019, in which all the students participated in their respective language periods on the given topics – Nai Talim, Make in India, Clean and Green India. The activity gave an opportunity to all the students to be well acquaint with Gandhi and his principles.
Painting and Drawing Activity(Gandhi as a great leader)
Painting and Drawing Activity was conducted on 28rth September in primary and middle wings, in which students were asked to paint their creativity on the theme of “Gandhi Jayanti”. All the students enjoyed the activity a lot.
Screening of Film(Dying for Freedom documentry):
On 30th September 2019 the school organised a movie screening programme for students in order to make them well acquainted with the works and sacrifices made by Gandhi Ji in his life for others. The activity was conducted with the strong motive of inculcating the spirit of truthfulness, brotherhood, non-violence, cleanlinessand physical fitness as well.
Quiz Competition(Moral values)
Last but not least, an inter house Quiz Competition on “Mahatma Gandhi and his life” was also organised in the school campus, where the participants gave neck to neck competition to each other by answering all the questions. The quiz enlightened the other students about Gandhi’s struggle and sacrifices.
At the end of the Action Taken Report the school paid immense gratitude to CBSE which has given us the opportunity to celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and preach our students to always be with the truth and have non – violent path towards their progress.

GIS, Kablana hosted an Inter- House Symposium competition on the topic "Save Blue to Stay Green", on 28th September 2019. The symposium has depicted the importance of water conservation to live our life. It proved to be the most suitable effort of the school for instilling analytical and logical ability in the students. Team of two students from each house participated in the competition. The competition was judged by Mrs. Kavita Dhankar. The result of the competition is given below:

On 21st September 2019, organized the Inter house Declamation Competition that served as an ideal platform for facilitating an exchange of ideas among the student fraternity. The Declamation Contest was conducted for the students of the Senior Section (Grades IX -XII).
The dynamic participants mesmerized the student audience with their vibrant oratory skills. They were made to present their views on the topic " Relevance of Gandhian Philosophy in 21st century” within the given time limit. They displayed confidence, enthusiasm and awareness while participating in the competition.
Mrs. Nandita was the judge for the contest. She congratulated and appreciated the efforts put in by the young, energetic, eloquent and persuasive orators.

Quiz competition are always interesting and informative, which provide excitement among the students and also make them aware of current knowledge. Ganga International School successfully conducted an Inter Wing| Computer Quiz competition in the school auditorium on 13th September, 2019 for the students of STD IX to STD XII in which 4 students from each class participated and gave tough battle to each other. Rules and regulations of the quiz were explained at the beginning. It was interesting three-round competition, which engaged the students for one hour. The students showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions. Though some of the questions were very tricky, the teams tried to answer them with confidence. Although the teams participated actively, the team that scored the most was class X B of senior wing and class XI B of senior secondary wing whereas the participants of the winning team are Diksha,Sarita, Umesh, Rinku Roy and Pratibha, Nikhil, Lipika, Hitesh respectively. The quiz competition was judged by senior computer teacher named Kirti Sahay.It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience. Ganga International School encourages such positive competitions and hopes to bring out the best in all its students through such competitive events, while ensuring that the children learn through all possible ways- not just through books and classroom teaching.

Ganga International School solemnly celebrated Teachers’ day with great gusto and gaiety on 5th, September 2019. Students conducted special assembly to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The special assembly incorporated poems, songs, speech, self-composed rap etc. They also entertained teachers by arranging fun games like tug of war, musical chairs etc. in which teachers also took part and played the game with full enthusiasm. They indicated that, teachers play a vital role in making their pupil accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. They are the cornerstone of student’s future and there’s nothing worth enough to gratify them for their selfless service and commitment. All teachers enjoyed and appreciated the program. A special lunch was also arranged for the entire school staff. Program concluded with motivational speech by the Honorable Principal Ma’am. Principal Ma’am extended her heartiest thanks to all students on behalf of staff.

FITNESS FOCUSSED at GIS
August 29, 2019
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Fit India Movement on the occasion of National Sports day at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. The Prime Minister said, "Only a fit person, fit family and a fit society will pave way for a great and new India." It is also the birth date of the legendary Major Dhyan Chand.
On this occurrence, of Fit India Movement, Ganga International School, Kablana organized necessary preparations for the students of junior wing for viewing and hearing the launch function of the Fit India Movement by the Honorable Prime Minister. The GISians watched the whole live telecasted program.
On the birth anniversary of Dhyan Chand; the prominent International Hockey Player, Sports Day was celebrated in GIS. The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship, fondness & fitness not only for the sports but also for the life skills in children. The day was a fun filled fest of laughter, energy and delight.
Ms. Usha Chauhan (Principal GIS) greeted the Chief Guests whole heartedly. The Chief Guests who invited were: Mr. Suresh (National Level Kabaddi Player), Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma (Physical Trainer), Mr. Laxman Arya (wrestling coach), Mr. Vinod Ahlawat (kabaddi coach) and Mr. Rajender Singh (Kabaddi Player). It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers. On the eve of National Sports Day, many activities were structured for the GISians. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way. 100 meter race, 200 meter race, and 400 meter race were arranged for boys as well as for girls. An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the event. Students of classes 6 to 12 competed in events. Some other activities such as Kho-kho and short put were also arranged.
In his concluding speech, the Chief Guests praised the endeavors of the school. They highlighted that the sports make a person fit and fine. The Principal also thanked the Chief Guests for their support and encouragement that lent charm to the event. The Principal drew special attention towards the fact that to keep fit oneself, one should be conscious about the food as well.

GIS Kablana celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 14th August, 2019 in the school ground with students, teaching and non teaching staff to mark the 73rd year of freedom from British rule.
On this special occasion, the programme started with flag hoisting by the respected Principal mamm Mrs. Usha Chauhan. The respected Principal mamm addressed the gathering, appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urged them to take pride in being Indian and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility.
The celebration was followed by inter house patriotic group song and folk dance competitions which had marked the most rendered quality of India i.e unity in integrity. The programme ended with National anthem and result declaration .

One is never to young to shoulder a responsibility. This holds specially true of the dipsites. During each session every year, a bunch of students is entrusted with the task of discharging various responsibilities of the school. Its is aimed at not only ensuring the smooth functioning of their beloved institution but also helping them instill the nuances of democratic traditions. Its was no different this year on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, the eagerly-awaited investiture ceremony was organized during school assembly.The ceremony started with lighting the lamp by the honourable principal Ms. Usha Chauhan and prayer by the choir students. Then, Ms. Nandita took over the podium and addresses the students by delivering a motivational speech in which she has quoted the words of Martin Luther – “I am not interested in power for power sake, but I am interested in power that is moral, that is right and that is good”.The delegates of the student’s council then marched forward to take up special responsibilities and lead the school confidently in all its endeavors. Then the honourable school Principal came forward and presented badges to the newly-appointed members of the student council. Holding their heads high, the President, Sachin, the Head Boy, Umesh and the Head Girl, Tannu Sharma received the school flag from the honourable Principal who later administered the oath to the members of the student council. The honourable Principal addressed the student’s council with his valuable thoughts.The ceremony ended with the National Anthem.

One student from each house from each wing participated in it. The participants were judged by Ms Preeti & Ms Kirti on the parameters- Confidence & Fluency. The activity was coordinated by Ms Pratibha & Ms Kanchan.

A Charity Programme through the medium of ‘Magic Show’ was organized by Community Outreach club on July 26, 2019 in morning assembly. Mr. Sanjay Kumar from Child Welfare Society, Bal Bhawan, Jhajjar was invited. He had not only entertained students and school staff through several magic tricks but also encouraged us to donate for the cause. He made us inform that the money(Rs. 6000)he collected from the magic show will be utilized to help poor women and children. Mr. Pawan Kumar,club member, motivated all the students and teachers to be generous as by this we can get blessing .

Ganga International School, Kablana had celebrated 20th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas from 22nd July to 27th July 2019 with great enthusiasm and proud. Number of activities were organised to aware the masses about the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers. The foremost step was taken on 22nd July 2019 with a motivational speech delivered by Mr. Pawan (PGT HINDI) in the morning assembly. He had highlighted the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and paid tribute to the martyrs who led their lives for the honor and dignity of our Country. Our honourable principal ma’am Ms. Usha Chauhan had also delivered the message of brotherhood among students.
July 23, 2019 – School and class display boards were adorned with various paintings, slogans and drawings which depicted a vivid picture of never losing spirit of Indian Soldiers.
July 26, 2019 – English Essay Writing Competition was organized within the school premises. The topic of the essay was “Tribute to Kargil Soldiers”.This competition had helped the students to understand the real meaning of the term patriotism. They came to know that patriotism enlightens us about our paramount duties towards Our Nation.
July 27,2019 – Debate competition was also held on the school Stage in which students from class IX to XII had participated. The topic of debate was ‘War’. This activity had proved extremely effective to sensitize students against war.
July 25, 2019 -- Painting competition was held with great zeal in which students from class V to VIII took part and painted their patriotic spirit on sheets. Some of the students had drawn Tri—Colour flag, pictures of freedom fighters and etc. The best painting was awarded with trophy by the honourable principle.
July 24, 2019 – Screening of most popular patriotic song launched by India army as a tribute to Indian soldiers was done in order to sensitize our students regarding their duty towards nation and its citizens.
It was a great learning experience for everyone.

A poster making competition with the theme- Conservation of Resources was conducted on 18th July, 2019 in GISK. This competition was conducted by Eco Club with Ms Tapti Gosh as the Coordinator and Ms Chandni as the Judge. Students of Middle Wing participated in it with great excitement. They were first made aware about the necessity in today’s world to conserve our precious resources such as water, electricity etc. Then, an Inter- Section poster making competition was held.
The students were judged on three parameters- Neatness, Creativity and Innovation. Students of VI B, VII B and VIII B were winners. The students learn a lot during this activity.

On third day, Past Tenses were educated by HOD. Ms. Kanchan. Later on a session on Vocabulary Enhancement was taken by Mr. Harish (TGT English). After that an evaluation was taken of the teachers on Classroom Management.

Drug Menace is a very serious problem of modern time. Drug abuse involves compulsive and excessive intake of drugs over a period of time. Repeated use of drugs results in developing addiction that has harmful repercussions. It is a problem that directly impacts the structure and functioning of the brain causing grave damage to it. Drug abuse, a term used for obsessive and excessive use of drugs, is a common problem these days, especially among school children.
As per the instructions of Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High court, Ganga International School, Jhajjar Celebrated AWARENESS WEEK AGAINST DRUG MENACE from 15th May, 2019 to 21st May, 2019. The main purpose behind it was to create awareness among school children against use of drugs. To make this week a rich experience of learning, school conducted various activities.
Day 1 (15th May, 2019, Wednesday)- Painting competition
One of the first things a child can do is pick up a pencil and start drawing. Painting enables imagination to become more active. Each time children draw or paint something they access their imagination and make physical representations of what’s in their mind.

It allows you to develop and organize your thinking about key concepts and issues in the course you’re studying.

Poetry and Rhymes Help Develop Self Expressions. When reciting poetry students are given the freedom to express feelings to their audience. It is a form of self-expression with the creativity of words and emotion to convey a message to the audience.
Recitation in general sense is the act of reciting from memory or a formal reading of a verse or other writings before an audience. Recitation actually means recreation of poems. Recitation is one of the most important & effective modes of learning a language & appreciating a piece of literature.

66. SUMMER CAMP FUN IN SCHOOL(20-24 MAY): |

The summer Camp at GISK has proved that education is not just only about what takes place inside the four walls of the classroom but takes outdoors too. It has inspired and motivated the learners to overcome adversity, enhance personal and social development and develop a deeper relationship with nature.
The host of activities included- Yoga, Calligraphy, Movie Time, Art & Craft, Music, Rain Dance, Puppet show, Table Manners, Cooking without flame etc.
The Grand Finale witnessed a power packed performance by the students in Ramp Walk and the display of material they had created as a part of the camp.
All the staff was immensely thankful to the Madam Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan whose constant innovative ideas in the field of education and making a difference in the life of each and every child have been proved a glorious moment always. Her vision remains invariably firm as the constant pole star. It not only enlightens the future of the students but progressive to groom the staff also. All the staff and students thanked her for giving such exposure.

GIS,Kablana celebrated Earth Day on April 22, 2019 with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. The camp helped students to fill in the gaps of growing throughout their lives beyond what the school and the home has to offer.

A day was dedicated for the same . The main objective of this project was to aware the people about the problem of Malnutrition and Infection,Natural Disaster and ways to prevent from them.First Aid awareness was also displayed through various activities.

To enrich the vocabulary, pronunciation, understanding of words and to inculcate the skill and desire to spell words, even the challenging ones with precision and confidence, Spellathon Competition (Round 1) was held on 29thNov,2018 (Class I to X).10 Students from each section were advanced to Round II. Students were provided a list of words (50-400) according to their class level. They prepared it with remarkable vocabulary and spelled word after word with much enthusiasm despite some of them being quite challenging. They were given words from all subjects and from day to day life. They got exposure to a world of new words.
Best three performers of Second round were certificated by the school Principal.

All round development of a child is the need of the hour. Therefore it is quintessential form to instill in them the habit of undergoing physical activities. A sports event for class IX to XII was organized. Various races (100m,200m & 400m) were held along with Shot Put. This event was a perfect groundwork to teach those wobbly feet how to channelize their energy in the right directions. “Tug of War” was the surprise for all and it was immensely enjoyed by all. The event saw a great display of strength, stamina and spirit of healthy competition as well as teamwork. Students participated with zeal and zest and cheered by teachers and their friends. The excitement and happiness on the face of the students was worth seeing.

To equip girls with self defense skills so that they can protect themselves in any diverse situation, a team of four female members from jhajjar police station came to GISK to take a session of self protection. Girls of class VI to XII attended the session. It was an interactive session by demonstrating martial arts skills.

10th August, 2018 was designated as a day of gratitude and thank giving to salute our nation and for the reminiscence of the freedom fighters who have instilled in us the eternal love for our nation. The Gangotri House of the school presented special assembly on the occasion to celebrate Independence Day. Chief guest Mrs Geeta Prabha, Principal GIE unfurled the national flag. The fiesta began with floral welcome by presenting a bouquet of flowers to the guest and the Principal of the school, Mrs. Usha Chauhan and by adorning them with Tricolor badges. The toddlers of Pre Primary showcased their love for their nation by presenting a group dance followed by the other performances like song, skit, bhangra etc by the students from all the wings of the school. All the students filled the environment with patriotic spirit. At the end the house in-charge Mr. Pawan thanked the school Principal for providing an opportunity to come together, enrich and hone the various skills in students. Madam Principal appreciated the efforts of the staff and the students as well.

To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of leaders and a sense of responsibility the new “PrefectorialBody ” is formed every year.

An awareness session of Petroleum Conservation was conducted
At GIS, Kablana by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association Assistant director Mr R.N.Ratawal conveyed to the students to reduce excessive dependence on oil requirement.
Through videos and lectures they guided students how to conserve petroleum by various techniques which we know but don’t keep it as habit like: driving speed, car pool, keeping foot off the clutch, using LPG Suraksha Pipe etc.
They also asked some questions at the end of the session which were replied by the students efficiently.
Those who answered the questions were awarded with certificates.
Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan found it an informative and excellent session.

World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world. Students of class XI & XII also celebrated this day by conducting a Book Review Presentation Competition. They presented the reviews with related pictures. Students of class 11th of The Ganga International School, Kablana, gathered today to bid farewell to the outgoing class XII batch. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments. The ceremony started with the welcome of class XII students. The students of class XI who welcomed the class XII were Nikita, Varsha, Bharat, Adarsh, Vandana.The stage was set ablaze with a ramp walk and self-introduction by class XII students.
The judges of the scintillating activity were Ms. Mridul, Ms. KavitaDhankhar, Ms. Vaishali, & Mr. Yatender. An incredible dance item presented by class XI students was well applauded. A skit was also performed by class XI. The judges nominated Garima (XII-C) as Ms. GIS,Lakshya (XII-A) as Mr. GIS ,Komal (XII-A) as Ms. Beautiful, Abhishek (XII-A) as Student of the year,and Mahipal (XII-B) as Mr. Handsome. The place where the student visited was ‘Circuit-1, in which the students saw main-building, for-court, banquet-hall, Ashok-hall, Darbaar-hall,library, north drawing-room etc. There a guide named as Ms. Anuprita imparted all the knowledge about the role of Rastrapati Bhawan. She also told the students about the stones used there. There she led the team to the Mughal-Garden. The Principal Ms. Usha Chauhan congratulated the students on this occasion.

Today; dated 18 Nov, under the Sahdaya Group of Activities GIS arranged Tug-of-war Sport. In this sport the number of teams got registered was 16. All the teams were full of enthusiasm. They used their paramount techniques to do their best. The Chief Guests Mr. AmanAggarwal, (Director GITAM), Mr. AmitGarg (Principal Ganga Institute of Townplanning and Architecture), Ms. Gita Prabha (Principal GIE) and the other dignitaries were welcomed with bouquets by Ms. Usha Chauhan (Principal GIS) and were pinned badges. While the Lamp Lightning was on track, the students presented ‘SaraswatiVandna.’ This made the air angelic. An essay writing competition was held while the Tug-of-War was in progress. After the SaraswatiVandana, a skit on Women Empowerment was also presented by GISians to aware the spectators about the role of women in present society. After this, the prizes were given away by the chief guests. The participant in Senior Category who got the first prize in essay writing competition wasBhawna of Modern Sr. Sec.School, B.Garh. The second and third prizes honouredVidhiof SGS,B.Garh, andSahilSehrawatof Ganga International School, Kablana respectively whereas in Junior Category MantashaHaider (PDM, B.Garh) got the 1st position, and Akshat Kumar (BSM, B.Garh) was honoured with 2nd position, and 3rd position went to GungunPathak of Hardyal Public School, B.Garh.
In Tug-of-war, Girls of Jupiter Public School, Rohad was privileged with 1st position. The second position pleased Modern Sr. Sec. School, B.Garh and the girls’ team of Cambridge International School, Bhadana got the 3rd position.
In Boys’ section, 1st place honored Jupiter Public School, Rohad whereas the second position delightedTriveni Sr. Sec. School, B.Garh and the third position was won by Ganga International School, Kablana.

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 30th Oct. to 4th Nov. 2017 with the theme of “My Vision- Corruption Free India”. On the occasion GIS, Kablana also conducted assemblies and other activities related to the theme. Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Speech and Debate were conducted in all respective classes. These activities helped in creating awareness about the role of preventive vigilance in reducing corruption and enhancing accountability at various levels. During assemblies this week, the concerned teachers delivered the speech to aware the students that corruption is considered to be the biggest hurdle in India’s development and the onus of ensuring that corruption is eradicated lies on the shoulders of aware empowered and motivated citizens.
A pledge was also administered by all staff and students to eradicate corruption.
Principal Mrs.Usha Chauhan appreciated the efforts of the staff as well as the students and in her speech motivated everyone to do their work sincerely to eradicate corruption.

The school takes pride in the fact that our students participated in the Olympiadconducted by Global Olympiad Federation in which students of class VI – X showcased their mettle in the field of Maths, Science, English and Computers and won the laurels to the school by bagging 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.
Dhruv class X student of the school is proved to be a sparkling star by achieving First Rank at National Level in Computers.
GIS,Kablana always participates in a gamut of activities in various fields academic as well as in sports. In the series the school participated in Haryana School State games. The Under 19 Volleyball Team bagged the Second position at Karnal and Under 17 Cricket Team bagged the Third Position at Ambala.
Principal Mrs.Usha Chauhan congratulated the students by adorning them with certificates and medals and appreciated the efforts done by all.

203. Ganga Education and Career Guidance Fair |

To ease down the problem of students for the choice of stream to decide their career and to aware them regarding better education & employment opportunities, GIS Kablana organised Ganga Education and Career Guidance Fair on 25th March,17 in which various institutes from different fields participated and counselled the students for their best career opportunities. The Chairman (Ganga Group of Institutions),Dr.Sushil Kumar Gupta, inaugurated the programme. Director(Ganga Institute of Technology & Management) Dr. Aman Aggarwal,Principal (Ganga Institute of Education) Dr. Geeta Prabha and Principal(Ganga International School, Kablana) graced the occasion with their presence. More than 700 People visited the fair.
The school had also organised Olympiad for class III to X to provide an objective, in-depth practice platform to the students and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of students on the various core subjects like: English,Hindi,Maths,EVS, Science & S.St. Approximately 300 students participated in Olympiad.
204. GIS ORGANIZED OPEN COMPETITION |

Ganga International School, Kablana organized an “Open Competition” for different categories viz. among classes 1st to 10th. There were three categories in which the “Poem Recitation” Competition was the first category for 1st and 2nd whereas the the ‘English Calligraphy Competition’ was the second category for classes 3rd to 5th. And the last but not the least the “Poster Designing” Activity was for standard 6th to10th.
Approximately 125 students participated in all the activities. The aim to organize these competition was to improve their interest in English Speaking, writing and to arouse their skill in Arts. Attractive prizes were given away to the stake holders in various categories. Students from various school participated in the competition. A panel of two judges in each category judged the students. The lecturers from GIE (Ganga Institute of Education) viz; Ms. Rita, Ms. Rekha and Ms. Neetu were invited to judge the various category of poem recitation, calligraphy and poster making respectively. Ms. Nandita and Mr. Arun, the Activity Co-ordinators gave Vote of Thanks to all for their valuable assistance. At last Ms. Usha Chauhan (Principal GIS Kablana) adorned the students with a variety of prizes in all the categories and encouraged them to participate in various competitions in future, too.

It was a time for them to leave the familiar environment of their Alma Mater and take off into the unknown blue to explore the vast beyond.Ahawan was also performed in the morning to invoke the Almighty to shower His blessings on the students so that they could excel in all walks of their lives.
Some pulsating music and dance performances set the right mood for the party and much awaited ‘Title Ceremony’ was enjoyed by all.The Principal Mrs.UshaChauhan wished them good luck for their forthcoming examinations.

Ganga International School, Kablana celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The celebration started with the impressive speech by Ms. Kanchan. She stressed the importance of a good teacher who takes the society in the right direction. A few teachers gave their presentation on this eve viz songs, poems and speeches etc. Then there were a few activities for the teachers. Really it was a great fun and frolics for them. Each and every person enjoyed the activities. Last but not the least Mrs. Usha Chauhan, the renowned Principal of GIS, paid respect to teachers and thanked them for their selfless duty towards the nation and society. She also stressed on the challenges in today’s teaching profession. Later on the school hosted a delicious lunch for the whole staff.

219. Workshop on life skills training |

Ganga International School, Kablana organised a workshop on Life Skills Training for the teachers on Saturday. Mr. Lalit and Mr. Harish were the resource persons of the workshop. The Prinicipal, Mrs. Usha Chauhan presided over the programme. They explained the meaning of Life Skills. According to them Life Skills are those skills which are essential for the all round development of a person. For students, basic Life Skills are Listening, Speaking, Reading and Discipline. For an elderly person the Life Skills mean a lot. For them they are Thinking Skills, Self Awareness, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Effective Communication, Empathy, Coping with Stress etc.
These skills are broadly divided into three categories. They are Thinking Skills, Social Skills and Emotional Skills. Thinking Skills are essential when you have to sort out any problem or to plan for the future. Social Skills are the basics of the Social Life. It teaches us how to interact or behave with others and how to put your points or clarify what you say. They also differentiated between sympathy and empathy. Sympathy means showing kindness to living beings. But empathy means capacity to feel someone is in distress. Very few people have this God gifted faculty. Many teachers put questions to make the point more clear. Really, it was a very fruitful workshop, as these skills are essential for teachers to understand the students of various background and to maintain peaceful and stress free social life.The workshop Mr. Vinod thanked all for this educational session.
220. MANDAKINI HOUSE ASSEMBLY ON WORLD HEPATITIS DAY |

GIS Kablana celebrated World Hepatitis Day with great fervor. It was a Special Assembly of Mandakini House. The programme started with the lightning of lamp by renowned Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan. After that Garima, a student of XI Humanities, delivered a speech on the topic ‘Hepatitis’. Then the students had a short skit to aware the students about this fatal disease.
There are five types of Hepatitis. They are Hepatitis A,B,C,D& E. Among them Hepatitis C is the most deadly. According to them the causes of the disease are excessive use of alcohol, smoking using infected syringe, making tattoos, not drinking clean water, living in unclean area etc. The Symptoms of the disease are vomiting nausea, cirrhosis (damage of liver) etc. The Vice Captain of the House, Master Lakshaya, a student of XI Science had a solo song. Some students danced to thrill the audience. Really, it was an entertaining as well as educative programme.
At last the students vowed to abstain from smoking and drinking to keep the deadly disease at bay.

Ganga International School: Investiture Ceremony was observed at Ganga International School, Kablana on 11-July-2016 with great zest for welcoming new senate . On the day of investiture ceremony, the words of Martin luther “I am not interested in power for power sake, but I am interested in power that is moral, that is right & this is good” were recalled and with the same spirit this most auspicious day of school calendar that is investiture ceremony was embarked. Event was conducted under the survillence of Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan who took care of every nook details of the event .
The event was started with the blessings of Saraswati Maa via Saraswati Vandana which was choired by the school choir group .The stage was warm up with the enlightened words of Respected Principal Mam.In her words,it is one of the defining moment of the student’s life. This is the initial step towards the leadership, the ability to take responsibilities, a promise for definite change for better tomorrow. The investiture ceremony is one of the first momentous occasions of the school where the newly elected & selected members of the school senate are officially vested with their powers & positions. Students of day are visionary & torch bearer of tomorrow, when we develop personality, skill & mind, we develop responsible human beings with leadership qualities.
Thereafter, esteemed Principal Madam, the navigator of this flagship of knowledge, administered the oath to the nominated council of minister and presented sashes and badges . Show attracted all school fraternity and meet a thunderous applaud .
Kunal Yadav of XII B and Ritu of XII A were adjourned to be Head Boy and Head Girl respectively . President position was bagged by Kushal of XII A whereas Veenu of XII B elected for student secretary council by the selection team .
A million of thanks was rendered through mam to all the supporting hands who made the event a great success .

Kablana:To enliven the lives of the graders from middle to Sn.Sec. Wing, GIS , Kablana had scheduled a nice excursion to Oyster Water Park ,Gurgaon. Trip kicked-off at 9:00a.m accompanying students as well as teachers for the blissful trip. Students knocked at Oyster doors in a total willful manner.
Thanks to the initiatives of school Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan and efforts of Mr. Arun and other escorted teachers who made the outing exhibratting and captivating with zero causalities.

Ganga International School, Kablana : With an objective to aid the cancer patient and in turn the community, young donors came frontward and donated whole-heartedly for this noble cause . nbsp; Collected donation was forwarded to Caring Life Foundation (CLF) which is a Non Profit Organization . It strives to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and also bring relief to Cancer Patients who need support and care. This fund raising campaign was conducted under the surveillance of revered Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan . Moreover, through this activity , students also got alertness regarding the mitigation of Cancer at initial stages.
Zeal and brotherhood of the graders was reflected in the amount of the donation which was Rs.8509/-. Acknowledging dedication of the donors, each donor had been rewarded . Lakshay of 7A had donated highest amount that is Rs. 1100/- for which he received Gold Medal , Certificate for Special Efforts and a Trophy. Along with him ,Muskan(7B),Tisha(9A),Arzoo(10A)& Anuhaka(4A) , were the other four donors who topped the Tally of Donation.
Harsh Dhariwal (7B) had received Gold Medal & Certificate for Special Efforts whereas Nikita (6A) adjudged with Silver Medal & Certificate for Special Efforts for their good deed . Bronze Medal & Certificate for Special Efforts was bagged by Randeep(4A),Rahul Gulia(4A),Teena(5B),Karan Gulia(8A),Bhawan(8B),Pooja(12B)& Ankita(12C). All donors had received Certificate of Participation & Certificate of Effort.
Caring Life Foundation (CLF) honored Revered Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan for her unconditional support &the best efforts by the “Trophy” as a token of appreciation and regards .
The whole exercise added a new dimension in promoting and understanding humanity as a whole without borders and limits of human greed.

Ganga International School, Kablana: On 28th February 2016, the campus of GIS was thronged with Farewell Party. Nevertheless, of hostile environment due to Jat Agitation, With the consent and efforts of revered Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan, the dream of every 12th grader was apprehended .
Event was kicked-off with lamp-lightening ceremony through the blessed hands of revered Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan. Graders of XII entitled the teachers with the exceptional but most reverted titles . Ms. Sonia and Master Akash Deswal were badged as Ms.&Mr. Personailty whereas Ms.Nishu and Master Nitin were crowned as Ms.& Mr. GIS. Pinnacle of honour ,i.e. “Student Of The Year” was bestowed to Joginder of Science Stream, as he topped the tally of 5point scale.
Revered Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan ,ushered the on-going aspirants to face this challenging world with epitome of confidence and come-out with flying colours in every walk of life .

Ganga International School,Kablana :On 9th January 2016,one of the most awaited event of Ganga School ,its first Annual Day, was puffed-up . School had staged a wonderful scintillating show that really left an impression on attendances ,presented to witness this scintillating spectacle. The programme comprised of a cultural proceedings followed by scholar- badge ceremony.
Event was christened as “SAMANVAY”. A day filled with entertainment and excitement that rocked the school, a day that provided an excellent platform for the children to unleash their talent. Months preparation and planning goes into the occasion.
An array of dignitaries namely Shri. Vedpal Daulatta (DEO) ,Shri Virender Sangwan(BEO),Dr. Sushil Kumar Gupta (Chairman of GIS group) and Managing committee members were welcomed to grace the occasion and bless the graders of Ganga .
An eclectic mix of melodious songs, unique dance items and enthralling performances are the highlights of the day. The colourful props that are artistically made are a visual treat to the eyes. They add pomp and grandeur to the celebrations.
Children got a platform to showcase their acting, singing and dancing skills on a grand scale and stage with the best of lighting effects.
The regional dances were a colourful feast .The western numbers were foot tapping and mesmerizing. To top that were the excellent performances of dramatics and speech that were thought provoking. The real encouraging factor was the huge audience of parents and grandparents who were enthralled with the performances, overjoyed the auditorium responded with applause.
School not only honour the victors of previous session but also 2013-14 session. Along with academic , co curricular field winners were also acknowledged by the school management . Efforts, either through telephonic or electronic media, were put – down to communicate victors about their achievement and called in the school for felicitation.
Dignitaries felicitated high achievers, Rank holders, Scholar-Badge Holders, All-Rounder & special awards for their outstanding academic & co-scholastics excellence. In their address , they stressed on imbibing the right values to achieve the astounding success in life coupled with respect and honor.
In her address speech Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan, inspired the students to blend the heart and head to make school “Symbol 0f Innovation”; pepped students up to the shoulders with action and bring about positive outcome in every sphere.
To acknowledge the diligence of participants, volunteers and staff members, refreshments were facilitated by school management . Last but not the least, Mam congratulated all.
Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan deserve a special thanks ,for coordinating the whole event and making it a gigantic triumph .
This Annual Day proved to be a day that stays etched in the minds of all who witness it. A glamorous family occasion with parents, staff, students, management personnel and support staff rubbing shoulders unaffected by cadre or position. Under the Ganga flow they stand united as a force unshadowed by any controversy, complaint or camouflage. The mantra of the moment was enjoyment, excitement and attachment. Camaraderie and entertainment relax young minds who return with renewed vigour to their academic pursuits.

Kablana: Science Exhibition was piloted at Ganga International School, Kablana on 03-Nov-2015. This was an innovative and experimental day for whole Ganga elite. “Mr. Sushil Gupta”, Chairman of Ganga group, the chief guest of the day inaugurated the exhibition with the ribbon cutting ceremony in the echo of table vandana. The Principal Madam Ms. Usha Chauhan was instrumental and encouraging throughout the development of the exhibition. From the very step of planning till the execution of science exhibition, all the pin-hole details were inspected under the surveillance of Principal Madam. Distinguished members of the Ganga group were present at the occasion.
Inspired, encouraged and motivated by the parents and the teachers, the budding scientists of GIS gathered in various teams with great enthusiasm and excitement with a galore of different models and experiments on subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Science and art. Through their eco-friendly scientific loom, students proved their love for Mother Earth. In totality,317 students participated in this event, winsomely. Mostly all the models conveyed the message of eco-friendly technology. There was also a beautiful Rangoli competition among all the four wings of the school.
The Chief Guest of the day “Mr. Sushil Gupta” enlightened the students with his thought provoking words by emphasizing on three important aspects. i.e., science begins with wonder, scientific temperament and rational thinking. The exhibition was open from 9.00 am to 2.30 pm and the parents were also provided an opportunity to view it.
To acknowledge the diligence of participants, volunteers and staff members, refreshments were facilitated by school management.
Through such events GIS provided a platform for scientific exploration and innovation to the future scientist. The day concluded with the staff meeting chaired by Principal Madam, congratulating the organizing committee led by science coordinator Mr. Lalit and teachers who had worked for its success.

Ganga International School, Kablana: In today’s scenario vigilance is the key to remain alive with dignity. Promoting the same, nexus of events organized at GIS. From oral to written all the activities were full of awareness towards vigilance in government sectors focusing o n the corruption in every form.
Graders from VI-VIII had demonstrated “Preventive Vigilance” in their posters which were visually pleasing and spoken thousand words in a small graphic. In a whole 10 to 15 students participated enthusiastically and energetically.
Students of secondary wing elucidated on the given theme, “Citizens right to good governance.” Through their words they enlightened their peer groups towards the vitality of voting, consequently the good governance. Speaking on the theme 10 students raised the voice against people negligence towards voting.
Through the debate scholars of Senior Secondary Wing brainstormed on the issue of “Preventive Vigilance sin-quo for Equitable Growth.” These future stake holders when operating directly with the community could proved to be the role model of authenticity.
In true sense the steward teachers, navigator of flagship, our respected Principal Ma’am Mrs. Usha Chauhan and participants with their unconditional and unflinching support, made the theme concrete in real terms.

GIS,KABLANA: Enthusiasm and festivity marked “Dussehra Celebrations” in GIS. The school was gripped with fervor as the galaxy of both mentors and disciples put their best foot forward to pay a respect to a true role model and most influential scholar,Lord Rama. Whole school was abuzz with activities. Rainbow of cultural events prepared under the able stewardship of the teachers .The celebration was given a flying start with a top-stories and thought of the day . Thereafter there was debate competition for secondary wing . It was two-tier cut-throat competition. In the first phase which was among respective sections of IX and X out-of six participants, Sakshi and Yoganshi of IX and Ritika and Lakshay Chouhan of X made to finale . After the final results, Yoganshi from IX & Lakshaya from X emerged to be victors .
After this nexuses of event took place . Twitch of the event was Ram-Stuti which had cosmic tune and divine music . For melody notes to high costume Ramayan character enactment, tiny-tots and class I scholars deserve nothing but standing ovation . Incredible meeting of Lord Rama and Shabri was flawlessly enacted by class II scholars. Sizzling steps, mesmerizing moments, captive creativity are few adjectives for the series of group dances which engrossed the spectators.
Speaking on the function,Principal Madam ,Mrs. Usha Chauhan highlighted the significance of Dussehra and correlated it with our present . Students seized many sporty opportunities beyond the school perimeter and bought laurels and accolades for the school. In Rural Football National 2015 Under -19 ,dated from 14th September 2015 to 18th September 2015 Akash Deswal of XII and Dinesh Deswal of XI had got hold of participation certificate .In C.B.S.E. Cluster 2015-2016 Table Tennis Championship school registered its presence in U-16 and U-14 . Among the six students who participated Vindhya Sagar School Mahendergarh from 2nd October to 4th October, Anshul of class IX ranked third .In C.B.S.E. Cluster 2015-2016 Football Championship school registered its presence in U-19 and received participation certificate . It was held at Sada Sukh Memorial School, Mahendragarh. To boost up the confidence of participants, Principal Madam Mrs. Usha Chauhan,felicitated victors .

GIS, KABLANA: India is one of the most ethnically diverse & multicultural nation in the world and 15th August, undeniable special day of Indian history. With the advent of August, air of Ganga International School, Kablana is filled with a zeal and enthusiasm to express the feeling of unity in diversity. Everyone took pride to be Indian. The teacher revered the supreme sacrifices by martyrs while the students celebrated the modern gifts of Independence enjoyed by their generation.
Gaiety and patriotic fervor marked 68th Independence Day celebration in Ganga International School, Kablana on Friday, through the special assembly conducted by Gangotri House. Event comprises all episode from solo to group exhibiting the underline theme Women Empowerment.
Event was set on motion with unfurling of our tri-colour flag. Thereafter, brilliantly choreographed dance on various patriotic number was showcased by tiny tots. Subsequently, solo performance by Manish of L.K.G grade is worthy to be praised. Hindi Speech by Ritu of grade XI enshrined the dictum that “Empowered Women, Empowered Nation”. Her expressions also raised one of the bitter truth that “Women are empowered only in words not in deeds”.
In the nexuses, Lakshay Chauhan of XB, saluted mother India with his solo performance. Nice melodious welcome notes of Lakshay , made the attendees in tears. Thereafter English speech by Komal (XA) expressed the vitality of women in advanced and developing India. She conveyed the message “Women are not object of gratification but a beautiful living creation of God”.
Primary wing confirmed their patronage through their dance performance enshrining the dictum of India-live with peace and harmony. It won huge cheers from the gathered spectators. Group dance performed by the sr. students was the heart of the event. Through their dance they enliven the long spoken “Women Empowerment” issue. It was also a bolt from blue to the stereotype mindset for women.
In her address Principal Madam Usha Chauhan, stressed on the role of women as a unsung hero of the domestic perimeter of life. She also stated that real empowerment can come when women start believing in themselves, on their strength and innate potentials.
A vote of thanks was rendered by Ms. Preeti, House I/c of Gangotri house & Ms. Renuka Arora , member of the house to the Principal Madam for gracing the occasion with her benign presence.
Last but not the least, all the supporting hands were congratulated by all school for making Independence Day an incalculable event in the calendar of G.I.S.

GIS,Kablana :For honing the skills of potential leaders of the future the Investiture Ceremony held at GIS, Kablana on 10th July 2015.
A special assembly was accomplished by the students of Bhagirathi House to mark Investiture ceremony, one of the propitious event of the school academic calendar.
Ahead of the event was the beautiful woven skit by Bhagirathi House students showcased the significance of flora and fauna in a human life. Skit was entitled as ”Live and Let Live”.A very well executed and highly applauded skit presented by the students.
Thereafter , most awaited ceremony ,kicked-off. With the crisp march, the newly elected senate took an oath and vowed to keep the school motto flag fly high. For them an all round betterment of the students ,exemplary in their deeds, keeping the students welfare are on the top of the list. Each member subsequently had the proud privilege to have Badges and Representative Flags. Needless to say, not one missed the myriad and weighty meaning both carried . It was simultaneously a moment of pride and humbleness of authority with accountability. And above all service.

“Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.”
Many years this thumb rule of life was propagated by GIS in an implausible manner. But this year it was organised differently.&nbsnbsp; On the occasion of, the first “International Yoga Day”, as declared by United Nation General Assembly, Yoga Session was organized at GIS,KABLANA campus on 21 June. Hats-off to the school Principal madam , Mrs. Usha Chauhan, for taking such successful move. For enhancing endurance of mind and soul, Staff-teaching and non-teaching and students were intimated via Sms and telephonic messages in a perfectly coordinated way. Even the school website was updated one month back regarding the event. In a nutshell, perfect use of electronic media just to communicate each and every individual to attend this yoga session.
The event was commenced with a speech by school Physical education-Yoga teacher Mr. Joginder Singh to highlight the significance of yoga in our life. As aptly quoted by renowned Yoga mentor Swami Ramdev “Our 99% physical and mental ailments can be cured just by 99 min workout every day”.
It was followed by various pranayams- Bahaya Pranayama( for strengthening lungs) Anulom-Veeloma (for better respiratory system) Kapaal Bharati( for better digestion)& Bastrika. Then after, asanas were performed to enhance our physical endurance. It was on totality a one hour session i.e. from 7:00 a.m to 8:00a.m.
From 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., a meditation session was demeanor by Ms. Monika, a disciple of Brahmakumaris. This activity showed us path to come out from our routine stress, grievances and guilt. One nice message was also given “Pardon someone before they ask for it”. In concise, the way to smooth and perfect life was now known to many.
Feedback was taken from all the attendees between 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m through an open discussion. The outcome was: Great Experience. All attendees seemed greatly enthusiastic to share their own experiences regarding the benefits of yoga in curing serious ailments. The event was concluded with vote of thanks by Principal madam to Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India for giving due importance to YOGA on Global map. She also expressed her gratitude towards all the attendees for marking their presence in spite of odd weather and summer vacations and to make the event successful.

To carry forward the series of activities, Students participated in Best out of Waste activity on Friday, May 15, 2015 for the class III to V. They made various creative objects like Decorated Pots, Wall Hangings, Baskets, Colorful Paper Bags, Photo Frame, etc. by waste materials. All creations were praised and best were awarded by Honorable Principal madam.

Kablana: GIS , Kablana had organized an excursion for the scholars of 6th grade to 12th grade on 5th May 2015. Buses accompanied both students and teachers rolled out dot 9 a.m. for the joyful journey . Sultanpur Birds Sanctuary is located in Gurgaon ,Haryana , 46 kms from Delhi . It was lushed with trees , shrubs and clusters of bougainvillea . It is essentially a bird watcher’s paradise.The birds could be easily spotted wading, swimming or flying. The photographs are accompanied with informative write-ups’ about many types of birds: resident migratory , small , big , colourful, different shapes and bodily features. A leisurely walk along the perimeter of the whole park was both charming and refreshing . In addition to array of species of birds ,antilog like neelgai and black bush can be seen . Thereafter students had taken their meal and departed for the school. In brief, the sanctuary provide a picturesque panorama of migratory and residents birds.

Kablana: GIS,Kablana had organized an outing for the scholars primary wing and tiny tots on 4th May 2015. Buses escorted with students and teachers left at 9 a.m. for the blissful trip. Bhindwas Birds Sanctuary is located in Jhajjar ,Haryana .Bhindawas is a man-made wetland constructed to store excess water of Jawahar Lal Nehru cannel.On our visit we saw an assortment of species of birds.The photographs are accompanied with informative write-ups’ about many variety of birds, large flock sharing a large area. The sanctuary checklist recorded 266 species but the figure is more than it . Thereafter students had taken their meal and departed for the school. In succinct, the excursion was both informative as well as full of gratification .
250. Earth our Heritage: |

GIS,Kablana conducted a special assembly on earth day on 22nd April,2015.Eco club of the school presented various activities to show the importance of Mother Nature. Through Skit, Speech and Songs students showed how the mother earth is nurtured and presented the bond of love with nature by planting saplings.
The honorable principal of the school, the passionate environmentalist encouraged students’ efforts and all the staff members and students took a Pledge for maintaining our environment safe.
Not only this but for the next 2-3 days another activities like Slogan writing, Debate, Poster making etc. are to be organized.
251. Sparkling Achievements of Humming Bird Olympiad at International Level: |

GIS,Kablana has been entitled with “Best Academic Result Oriented School” in Humming Bird Olympiad at International level. In the medal tally, school achieved 42- Gold,21-Silver and 18-Bronze medals.
Our honorable Principal mam raised the Expectancy of the students by awarding them medals and certificates.
Miss Renu has been bestowed with the title of “Best Coordinator”.
Sports achievement had been also awarded on this day.
252. Eighty(80) students got success in Olympiad: |

Eighty students of GIS showed their talent in the Olympiad competition which was held in the month of December. Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan congratulated all the students and said that they can achieve the success by participating in such competitions and can improve their short comes. These achievements will lead them to the path of great success in their life. This competition consists of four subjects- English, Maths, Science and Computer Science in which students bagged 42 gold, 21 silver and 17 bronze medals and made their school and parents proud.

A small get together was organized by the management for all staff members on the occasion of holi. Zeal of the festival could be seen among staff as they presented a small cultural programme related to the day.It was a colorful moment in GIS premises.

It was a nostalgic moment for the students of class XII of the 204-15 batch when the students of class XI accorded them a sentimental farewell, on Saturday Feb 21,2015.It was a time for them to leave the familiar environment of their alma mater and take a plunge into the unknown blue to explore the vast beyond. A hawan was performed in the morning to seek the blessing of God for the forthcoming board exam for the class XII students as well as their lines ahead. After the lighting of the inaugural lamp by the Principal mam,the much awaited title ceremony was enjoyed by all with the dance performance party mood was set by the students. Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan wished good luck Public Speaking activity(Inter House)was held for class VI-VIII.Students of all the houses spoke on the given topics with full notation and confidence.

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi came up with yet another ambitious approach launched in “Beti Bchao ,Beti Padhao” scheme which is the dire need of the hour.
To promote his idea in the country a competition was held in various schools of city.GIS,Kablana also organized a competition in which students pen down their ideas on the topic in essay writing competition.Their emotions could also be seen on the theme through various slogans and posters.
Best entries were selected and sent to DEO Office Jhajjar.

Continuing with its series of workshops GIS utilized this winter vacation training its teachers for effective and impressive class room teaching based on CCE which was conducted by Mr.Manoj and Mr.Harish.
Two days session was conducted by the principal of the school Mrs.Usha Chauhan on Organizational behavior and Classroom management which emphasized on various aspects of Organizational behavior. Staff was motivated to be focused; adventurous and cooperative with each other. It was also conveyed that well planned approach can make students more confident.
For the health and wellness of the staff a workshop was conducted by Dr. Naresh Dalal in the school premises in which reasons; symptoms and precautions of angina and heart attack was discussed. Many queries of staff was also sorted out. It was very beneficial for staff.

Alaknanda house celebrated 'Save Girl Child Day' in the special Assembly on 9th Dec, 2014 in which students presented poem, skit and song based on the theme of the day to give a message to end the gender selection. They showcased the women empowerment through a skit which conveyed the message that there is no discrimination between a girl and a boy and they must be given equal rights and opportunities for their as well as a country’s upliftment.

In morning assembly students of class VI delivered speech, poem and group song to remember Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Sports events and excursions were organized for students. Staff of GIS,Kablana made students feel special as it was their special day. Zeal was witnessed among the students. They were pleased to spend their day in a special way.

Success mantra is not any particular formula to achieve success that everyone has to follow.The real secret of success in reality is consistent planning and its implementation, which was followed by our genius student Kajol(Our Commerce Topper of 2013-14), got certificate and prize money of Rs.1500 for outstanding performance and securing a 0.01% merit in Sr. Secondary Exam by Haryana Govt. This year in month of February, she was awarded with cash prize of Rs.50,000 (Fifty Thousand Rupees) and certificate by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Govt. of India).

Commemoration of 48 years of the existence of the state is what celebration of the “Haryana Day” is all about. On Nov. 1st ,Students of GIS showed that the essence behind the celebration is not only to remember the existence of the state but also to make us proud of our culture,language,traditions,social norms, customs and the individual distinctiveness that makes this state wonderful is all aspects.
Inter House folk dance activity was also organized in the morning assembly of Haryana Day.
Student presented the different states in the colorful costumes speech was also delivered to give knowledge of the achievements of Haryana.
It is in this spirit, which makes us feel proud of our states achievements in every field that make the celebrations all the more meaningful.

National Unity Day was celebrated in Assembly of GIS,Kablana.Students and teachers paid tribute to Sardar Patel on his birthday on this day by taking a pledge to be united.Some teachers gave a brief speech to give the outline of Patel significance in the country’s history which conveyed the Iron man’s message of good governance.

As a mark of respect to our former president of India,Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan our school celebrated “Teachers day” on Sept.,5 . The Teachers organized the assembly for the day.Senior students rendered a vibrant programme in honour of teachers to show their gratitude for them.Class XII students assumed the role of teachers and realized the worth of a teacher’s tasks.
All the staff members celebrated the day by a grand party hosted by the school management for the teachers full of fun,frolic,games,music & masti.
Ms.Nidhi and Mr. Deepak presented parody dance individually. Ms. Priya and her group presented melodious song.Mr. pawan ,Mr. Vikas and Ms. Sneh told story and poem related to literacy and politics.
Ms. Renu and Mr. Vikas were awarded as teachers from 7th year with momento and tokens.
The students were instructed to watch and participate in the live Ques./Ans. Show with Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
A sumptuous lunch was also organized for the teachers. Best teachers were awarded by the honorable Principal.The elementary proposition behind the event was to convey the message that the art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery for it:

The occasion of Independence day was momentous at GIS,Kablana.Our history was being revised by a generation which had never been enslaved through various patriotic songs and dance which were presented by students with full gusto and the enthusiasm was sky high.
The special assembly of Independence day was also accompanied by the Investiture ceremony for the session 2014-15,and Special Assembly of Gangotri House on the theme “Sadbhavana Diwas”.
The school Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan administered the oath to the members of the supreme council of the school.The students leaders were adorned with the badges and promised that they must put up their best efforts to keep the banner of their school aflutter.
Students also got awarded for their glorious performance in “TOHANA” competition by honorable principal mam with warm congratulation.

They enthralled the gathering with their cat walk and with their scintillating performance in the western dance.A letter box race was also organized to enhance their knowledge with fun.
The gaiety and spontaneity with which the little ones performed was highly appreciated by the principal, Mrs .Usha Chauhan for their confidence and spectacular performance, they were given the titles of Best Dress up and Best Performer.

Continuing with its series of informative workshops, a workshop on Autism was conducted by the members of GISK workshop committee for the teachers and parents on 29th April 2014 on World Autism Awareness Day.A detailed discussion was made to emphasize upon the causes, symptoms and remedies of Autism.Resourse person Mr. Sandeep (PGT Bio.) explained this neurobehavioral disorder that includes impairments in social interaction. Stress was laid in teaching these students with patience and special techniques. Principal Mrs. Usha Chauhan guided the teachers to develop a compassionate view towards the students with such disorder.
